She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Pro 31:25
At the core of this challenge is to raise women that are ready to do battle for the Lord in their various stations in life. To battle and win, you need strength and even though we live in a world where women are considered the weaker sex, i am here to tell you or remind you that you have strength. I believe just like the Bible says in 1 Cor 12, every part of the body has a place to play and it is unwise to judge the strength of the hand against the strength of the leg. People have gone about for eons judging the strength of woman against that of the man and called her weaker but the Lord doesn’t call you weaker dear woman. Man has his strength and woman has her strength. The goal of the unique giftings God has given us is for one united goal, for the equipping of the saints and for the glory of God.
We need strength, strength for the good fight, strength to continue in this sinful world, strength to take care of our families, strength to do all those wonderful things that the Proverbs 31 did, strength to carry gracefully the anointing that has been poured on us, strength to do all the things we have discussed in this challenge.
Just like in verse 17 of Proverbs 31, the woman dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong, it behooves us to find our unique strengths and giftings and dress ourselves with it so that our arms may be strong. We need to identify, sharpen and hone those skills so that when we hear the sounds of war, we are not afraid but can laugh because we are confident of the power within us. I want to encourage you to take time and seat with the Lord, take a pen and paper and ask Him about what He has instilled in you. Once He starts to reveal that to you, be intentional about working on them and increase your capacity. The stronger you get, the more you can do.
Psa 93:1 says ‘The LORD reigns! He is robed in majesty; the LORD has clothed and armed Himself with strength. The world indeed is firmly established; it cannot be moved.’ God has given us the blueprint of strength, let us establish what He has given us to rule over so that storms, trials and any hard times will make us unmovable. Take up the cloth of strength and let the Lord train you so that you may truly be equipped to do good works for Him. Remember that when you start lifting weight and building strength that it will hurt at first, keep at it, that’s your weak muscles dying so that the stronger ones can be built. Keep pushing until the training room fills you with excitement like those who go to the gym get excited about lifting higher weights over time.
Pray that God will give you the strength and grace to allow truth into your inward parts so that the foundation will be established properly
Pray for the strength to progressively and constantly build ourselves up on the foundation of your faith in God
Pray that your foundation will truly be steady, able to withstand the highs and lows
Pray that when God puts you through the fire that you will focus on being refined rather than the heat and discomfort
Pray that you will come out with the firm knowledge and deep understanding that your hope is real and God will not put you to shame.
If you fail in the day of adversity, your strength is small Pro 24:10. Be a wise woman, equip yourself now so that when the days of adversity arrives, you will not be found wanting.
